I've been stuck on what to do next for my computer set up, and I was wondering if any of you could lend your advice.
Over summer I put together a little "home theater" set up for my room. I am now in a dorm and I end up doing most of my listening in front of my computer. I had been using a crappy LG Home Theater in a Box for a while, but I am sick of it and I finally am taking the time to upgrade. I've already bought some Monitor Audio BR1's, which I took forever to decide upon (and I am still open to suggestions on other speaker options), and now I am stuck on the receiver vs. amp.
I don't care about 7.1 (although it would be nice to have 5.1 to upgrade to in the future). All my listening will be done through my computer, my sound card has analog and optical outputs, so while I would like a optical input, it is not a must. I would like to add a subwoofer later on once I get some extra money.
That is pretty much my current situation, and I am at a loss as to what I should do for my next step. If any of you could offer any advice, I am all ears! Thank you!
Edit: I forgot to mention that my budget is around $150....it's sad, I know XD
