Thanks for your advice! I went to hear these speakers at a local shop and was truly impressed by the detail that they offer. The set up was with an NAD amp and the power was truly impressive. The salesman said that the amp is 100 Watts per channel. To be honest, there was so much power going to the speakers that it was like that i could hardly hear the sub! So i am thinking that going for the Yamaha 95 watts per channel is enough really. I am not going to be listing to movies at high volumes anyway as i would be kicked out of the neighbourhood!
What do you mean by not crossing the speakers below 100Hz? Are you referring to the crossover frequency? I am seeing on Kef's website:
Crossover Frequencies Satellite - 2.2kHz, Centre - 500Hz, 2.2kHz
Frequency Response (+/-3dB) Satellite - 70Hz - 55kHz, Centre - 65Hz - 55kHz
Maximum Output Satellite - 108dB, Centre - 110dB
