I know that there are probably threads about this, but none really answer my question directly.

I have an Adcom GFA-545II, which is rated at 8 ohms per channel with 100 watts per channel. Would I be able to run Behringer 2031P's without damaging either them or the amp? The speakers are rated at 4 ohms per channel with 150 watt max.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Hi. According to the specs in the owner's manual for the Adcom, it is rated at 150 W continuous average power into 4 ohms with both channels driven. IMO, you'll be just fine.

Adcom amps are built really beefy and can handle 4 ohms well. Plus, they have a very good built in protection circuitry, so if you do crank it too loud, it will simply shut itself down.
