American Beauty?

Folks, just recently I added Epix to my lineup. Noticed that they have been showing the movie American Beauty a lot. Have taken the time to watch it a few times since I added Epix. Seen the movie many years ago. But, for some reason or another I have enjoyed it much more now. Kevin Spacey is such a great actor. One of my favorite actors. As such, found American Beauty to be very funny and quirky. Of course the tragic ending was a bit shocking as well. Just has the humor similar to Fargo inmho. Kevin Spacey also starred in K-PAX. That is also another great movie by a very seasoned actor. Just curious if any of you like this movie as well. Have any of you seen K-Pax? Any comments? Feel free to share. Thanks!

Yup, good movie, good acting, I saw this one originally when it was in the theater.

I did too. But, I enjoy it much more now. At least, the quirky humor in it. Did you happen to see K-Pax? It is a very good movie inmho. Kevin Spacey is the real deal. One of my favorite actors of all time.

Yeah, Spacey is good. If you are a fan, and if you haven't seen House of Cards.....then you really have to see it! He plays a real dirt-bag in that series, and he does it very well. The best part is when he talks directly to the viewers.

Great movie. I also really like K-Pax as well. Not well reviewed by critics, but at 75% on RT and 7.4 on IMDB, seems like the people who've seen it thought it was pretty good. I actually haven't watched that in a long time and now I've got the itch to see it as I try to remember plot points.

Yep, both favorites of mine. If Kevin Spacey is in the film I'll always give it a shot and the odds are pretty good it will be a keeper, can think of only a few I wouldn't watch again. I saw Kpax again not too long ago, but haven't fired up American Beauty in a long time....since its a snow day, just might do that.

K-PAX is awesome! Think that I am just going to go buy both American Beauty and K-PAX on BR. Will also look into House of Cards and see what I can find. Like you Alex, I am due to watch K-PAX again. It has been a long time since I have seen it.

No, I do not have Netflix. I have Sling TV via my Roku Premiere Plus. Have to watch all of my Kentucky Basketball games. Will see if Sling TV offers it. Thanks for the info!

I know what you mean, grew up in the Chicago area and was so glad to leave the snow/ice behind when we moved out to the west coast (especially since I was the appointed shoveler). We're low enough here we don't get snow but a coupla times each winter; it melts off pretty quick, but we got a coupla inches last few days and hopefully the forecasted warmer rain will move in tonight and get rid of it. Good time to stay home and watch some movies.

No, never seen Spun. But, may check it out since you mention it. The blonde was hot no doubt, but Kevin's daughter had a much better and bigger set. She actually was not bad looking herself......LOL!!! That window scene where that guy was recording her was hot! Have watched that scene a few extra times myself......LOL!!!!!!
