I thought everyone had bought something there!

I buy something from Cramazon just about once a week. I think they are awesome. I also pay $80 per year to get free 2 day shipping on everything, so if I order something on a Monday morning, I almost always get it on Wednesday. They are also pretty good with returns. If you get a defective item, they pay for the return shipping (you have to pay for it if you just don't like the item and want to return it). If you don't pay for Prime to get the 2 day shipping, most shipping is free if you spend over $25, however, us Prime members take priority so the service is quite a bit slower. Oh, and no sales tax unless you live in New York :D.

Just make sure you don't buy from marketplace sellers by mistake - that is a whole different ballgame, and sometimes it is hard to tell.

I'm glad that you bought Phil's player!

As for Amazon, I'll add my two cents - I buy from them all the time. Almost always perfect. When it's not, they make it right. I also use Amazon Prime.

Amazon is awesome. I wish other etailers were half as good. I will heartily pay a bit more to get something from the zon, as their CS is simply unbeatable. Funny thing is they are usually cheaper. They are also authorized dealers for EVERYTHING they sell directly.

The closest thing I can think of as far a store that you walk into is Costco. They are the two to beat in both CS and pricing. OTOH, they don't always have the best selection, but you gotta take it where you can get it.

just-some-guy, as you're going to pick up Phil's bdp, you will obviously buy a title or two. Stay away from WHV is my recommendation. CS is the pits. JR is ok, definitely not amazon good, but acceptable. Deep discount I've bought a tiny bit from, but never tested the CS. Cheers.

I think one of the forum members lives there.

Kind of a shady place if you know what I mean. Especially beneath the canopy. Easy to get lost in the amazon so make sure you get a good guide. If you need to eat. Just eat what the monkey's eat and you should be ok.

Make sure you take waterproof gear with you. I find a Swiss rainproof backpack wrapped in a black trashbag to handle most rainstorms. Make sure you where pants though. and don't go overboard on insect repellent. It only takes a little deet to keep away mosquitoes. Make sure you get a good hat. Magellean makes great rainforest clothes.

Sorry I couldn't resist. :)

i don't buy movies. i watch em once, and thats it. i do want a calibration disc though.

oddly. their 32"ers are a good bit more than newegg.

That would be Warner Home Video I believe.

The only thing I miss about Amazon (and the only thing I don't like about them) is post-purchase price guarantees. Their prices fluctuate TONS during a short period of time. For example: I bought Tropic Thunder Blu-Ray "on sale" for $23. One hour later it was $20. That is a cheap example though, I have heard of people buying a TV for $2000 and the next day it is $1700. That is how it goes though I guess. Newegg does the same thing, but things don't fluctuate quite as often or quite as extremely.

Ditto... I've spent faaaaar too much with Amazon. In reality I do so much of my shopping with them it seems (not food or clothing but other various things). Books, music and DVDs are most common but I've bought audio and photo gear from them as well as computer stuff.

What they do still have is pre-order price guarantees. If you pre-order an item and the price drops before the item ships they will honor the price drop. I've had this happen with several bluray boxsets.

Not to pile on too much, but I'm a huge amazon lover and prime member. The $80 for prime pays for itself in the first quarter of the year for me!

I use Amazon all the time

the only problem with Amazon .......

Is that once you have registered your information .... it is so so easy to click and order something.

Also ---ALWAYS use the super saver shipping. It always at least in my case after dozens and dozens of tries gets their at the same time as the expedited shipping. :) almost always within a couple of business days.

I one time need to get some birthday presents to take with me on a trip and had to have them in a couple of days and paid more in shipping than the products

Good Luck!

P.S. - They ship Salamander furniture with FREE SHIPPING!

My sentiments exactly. When not perfect, they take care of business. Tops in my list of e-tailers.

I have often heard of Newegg reimbursing customers that ordered an item and then saw that it was on sale the next day. Newegg has awesome customer service.

I bought a BD 55 from there, when they had a great deal way back when:D

I bought some other stuff too, including used BDs, etc. A recent purchase went south, the guy sent the wrong BD, after a few tries with the seller, still no right BD:eek:
Filed a complaint with Amazon, the next day or two, my charge card was credited. Great to do business there, when the price is right:D
