Aluminium concaved drivers

Can anyone possibly help me? I’m currently in the process of building some speakers and I’m looking for some high quality aluminium (or titanium) concaved mid / base drivers, Ideally 6 inch’s diameter.

I also need to find a good quality aluminium dome (or concaved) tweeters which would be compatible with the mid / base driver.

I know swan speaker (HIVI) produce some however the gold finish would work with the over all look of my finished speakers. I’ve seen loads of other company’s on the market using these but can’t find a supplier my self.

I’d be really grateful if anyone could offer some advice.

Just a little comment: don't choose drivers based on look, choose them based on the design of your speaker, because that is going to get you the best sound.

They'll sell you whatever drivers you need. The RF-62 drivers are 6.5" and from the new reference line.

They may cost more than buying generic speaker components from parts express, but then again....... you get what you pay for. If this is the type of driver you seek, settle for nothing less than the genuine article!!

Also, you can always paint the mid range cones using proper preparation/paint if a specific color is required.

the design is based on both form and function. to be honist I'm just a bit tired of looking at ugly speakers that just sound good.

so this is why i'm looking for the aluminium drivers.

Madisound sells SEAS drivers. They make a number of very good quality aluminum models in various sizes. Look for model numbers beginning with the letter L. http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?keywords=seas What size are you looking for?

Parts Express sells a 5¼" (DA135-8) and a 7" (DA175-8) aluminum mid woofer. Parts Express also sells its Dayton RS series, which are better quality aluminum drivers than the above two, and are available in a wider variety of sizes. All the RS drivers have an anodized black finish.

I'm in London Uk. thanks for the link. I've been onto the Seas website before but they dont produce the kind of thing i'm looking for.
