Ok, I need some help here. I was in NYC last week visiting a friend who had these speakers. He's from the UK and brought his system with him. I have to admit, I just really like the design of these speakers (ok I am a sucker for design and architecuture) and they sounded hella good.

My question is, does anyone own a pair of these and if so....know where to purchase a pair in the US and if so what price range are they in?
Also, I noticed that they're 6ohms, is that a huge deal or ???

They are by "Wharfedale" called the "Airedale".

Those are very nice looking, more pictures.:D

They where listed at $1000 in the 70's, which would probably equate to $2000-3000 by today's standards.

These must be a reincarnation of the 70s version, which I am sure is not the same caliber as these, these are very classy, and maintain the retro look. Very nice indeed.:)

You may want to give my guy Terry a call at AYSElectronics.com... He has a contact at Wharfedale in Washington D.C.

I have the Wharfedale Opus 2's and I'm smitten.

Cheers,

Nick

The brand new Airedale Neo has an MSRP exceeding $20,000 American when you can find them.

I know nothing about them but any speaker with an on/off switch is good in my book!
