Update
The Arx have arrived!!! Boxes looked just fine, double boxed, adequate protection. They were just a little chilly but they weren't too cold. I let them warm up for about 45 minutes before pluggin' em in. Prooobably should have waited longer but they're just fine. At first they sounded veiled, almost muffled. They're definitely warmer than the Polks, definitely more laid-back. But they're definitely quicker than the Polks, and it sounds great. I played them at above-normal volume (for an apartment anyway) for about 6 hours and am listening lower now. My EMC-200 was at 35 volume, now listening at 30. Slightly less efficient than the Polks too, need to give them more juice. Luckily that's not a problem

it's taking me a while to adjust to the more relaxed signature of these speakers, but I definitely appreciate it. It reminds me of the HD650s I have. The treble is silky smooth with no harshness, and there's a ton of detail. There's some pretty good mids/vocals that will probably get even better with time, and the bass actually goes surprisingly low with a little EQ tweakage. Bass honestly sounds awesome in my apartment due to the wood floors. It just travels. I'm actually glad I didn't buy a subwoofer yet, because these are almost low enough to tide me over for just a little while. All I want is for them to open up just a little bit. What's amazing is I'm already hearing things in songs I've heard 50 times that I
haven't heard before, even on my headphone rig! And if I have, I don't hear it often enough to remember having heard it! I didn't expect to be this amazed, but here I am.
I will be definitely listening to these a lot over the next few weeks and putting on as much time as possible without annoying neighbors! I plan on writing a full review in maybe 2-3 weeks while slowly compiling my thoughts. Maybe I will even put some pictures in the review!

So very very excited for my new relationship with these beautiful speakers.
