Advice on Turntable, Amp and Speakers

Hey there,

I would like a bit of guidance on what I should get.
For the three things I would like to spend no more than $1250 if possible. Also where i should allocate this money. I want these components for listening to records mainly.

Turntable
I have been looking at the 'Audio Technica AT-LP120' and the 'Pro-Ject Debut Carbon' which seem to both have good reviews, wondering their pros and cons.

AMP
First wondering whether i should get a Amp, an integrated Amp or a stereo reciever. I have been looking at Yamaha's and have noticed the Amps to be very expensive. So wondering what would work best in my price range.

Speakers
Didn't know really where to start so all advice will be appreciated. I want stereo speakers though as I feel that is the best option, and therefore want an amp which excels in that area.

Thanks All.

Between those two turntables, I would choose the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. There may be a better choice that lowers the number of components required so you can enjoy higher quality sound while staying within budget.

What we don't know is how you might envision a future with the system. The bulk of you money should be spent on SPEAKERS, though if you really cheap out on turntable & cartridge you'd hear that on even the cheapest speakers. If your system was only going to be for 2 channel or 2.1 channel music right now, I would suggest this turntable because it has USB output and won't require a phono amp.

Now you could feed that directly to a good pair of powered speakers, such as:

OR:

OR:

With any of those you have a nice, reasonably high quality system for good sound now. Add pieces later, or opt for streaming from your computer, phone or tablet when you don't feel up to playing records.
