I recently bought my first set of unpowered speakers/amps and not sure if I have them set up the optimal way... I'm wondering if I have things wired the best way and if I have sufficient power for the speakers I'm running... Thanks for any input!
(2) Seismic 500 Watts RMS; 1000 Watts Peak; Impedance: 4 Ohms
(1) EV-12 S4 - Single 4 Ohm 12" 400 Watt Subwoofer
(1) 10" Kicker subwoofer w/ unknown impedance/peak/rms watts (I think it's a 200watt with 1 Ohms)
(1) Rockville RPA9 3000 Watt peak/1500w RMS 2Channel Amp (Maximum head room for 4ohm and 8ohm speakers)
(1) Rockville RPA5 1000 watt peak/500w RMS 2 Channel Amp (Maximum head room for 4ohm and 8ohm speakers)
The way I have it wired now is the two subs wired in Parallel to the RPA5 amp, in Bridge mode with XLR out to XLR input on the RPA9 amp. Then I have each of the Seismic speakers wired to their own channel outputs on the RPA 9...
It sounds pretty good as it is, but I just want to make sure I'm maximized/not wasting power because it's not loud enough for what I want. I feel like the 12" 400watt sub doesn't hit very hard at all and I'm wondering if it's because the amp doesn't have enough power.
