Advice on mini system and wall speakers please

NOthing doing in the big boys loudspeaker forum so thought I'd try here

Can anyone offer advice on what to buy for wall mounting flat speakers - for general listening (music and radio) in a large (30') kitchen/family room (i.e. no fixed listening point and quite a big space)

I have B&W's in my HT so something with a similar sound would be good - for various reasons I'd rather not have a separate sub

Any views on the B&W FPM2's for example?


and what about a mini system - seen good reviews on Linn Classik but 4 years old - anything better than that?

I heard some impressive Martin Logan bookshelf speakers. Don't remember the series, but they were flat and sounded REAL nice. Ribbon tweet, dual mid/woofs.

That's about as flat as I've ever heard sound good. Have not heard too many in-wall speakers I liked.
