I'm looking for recommendations on a budget ($350) 4K receiver, I am currently deciding between
Denon AVR-S530BT and Yamaha RX-V383BL. I have a LG 4K TV with a pair of speakers and a center speaker, I will eventually be upgrading to a full 5.1 setup. I really have no space or need for anything more than a 5.1 setup. Any advice on either of the two receivers that I mentioned or any recommendations on any other 4K receivers under $350 would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Do you mind refurbished units? Not sure if they sell outside of the US.

wow! Those are really great prices... just a little unsure about refurbished, I have had mixed experiences with refurbished electronics...it's very tempting since the prices are so good. Have some thinking to do.... o_O

There's a bit of risk in refurbs for the savings but A4L was good to deal with when I had some bad Denon refurbs (a Denon issue). If you don't mind the potential of a return you can get a better avr and many have had no issues at all with refurbs, too. Usually a shorter warranty but they sell extended warranties and even your credit card can extend the refurb warranty (mine did altho didn't come into play, the refurbs were issues on initial setup with one and a few days beyond 30 days with the second, and A4L still helped out, but I did go new from them at that point as setting up the system, tearing it down and inserting my old avr and recalibrating twice got old....).
