Advice on a Basic 2 Zone Receiver

I have had an Onkyo TX-NR616 for 6 years and it has been nothing but problems. 3 times now, the unit stops powering on so I send it back to Onkyo and they fix it and it works for a year or so. Now, it is dead again so I am looking for advice on a basic receiver that will replace it for hopefully under $200. All I need it to do is power 2 sets of small speakers. Yamaha speakers on my deck and 2 JBL speakers built in to my living room wall. I would like the option to have the radio be playing on the deck and at the same time have Pandora playing through Bluetooth in the living room or vise versa. I think that is why I would need 2 Zones? Will something like the Sony STRDH190 2-ch Receiver work?
I am trying to keep it under $200 because I only need it to power 4 small speakers. I don’t have any large sub nor is it connected to any TVs or theater equipment. I realize my old broken Onkyo unit was overkill for what I need and the salesman at HHGreg probably screwed me over.

Heres pics of my broken Onkyo that does not power on and my 2 sets of wall/deck speakers.

Thanks

I’m not sure you’ll find a receiver that can play multiple sources on the A&B channels simultaneously within your budget.
For around $150 you can get yourself a decent receiver that will play the same source in either location or both locations at the same time.

Yamaha R-S202 Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth
Onkyo TX-8020 Stereo Receiver

What about used or refurbished? I would hate to spend too much considering I rarely use it.

Don't assume that because the speakers are small that they don't have particular power needs (small tends to be less efficient due Hoffman's Iron Law), but more depends on your listening levels at what distance from the avr you need. Shopping for an avr at accessories4less.com might be a good start if you don't mind the risk for a refurb unit. In your case many receivers will do what you want, tho. You might even shop craigslist for a used unit if you don't need all the latest/greatest features.

If all you need is analog audio, then I would troll eBay and Craigslist for high-end used models. As people are moving towards all digital setups with HDMI 2.0 support, they are getting rid of their high dollar, VERY good AV receivers for pennies on the dollar.

This may even be newer than is necessary, but an example:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Aventage-RX-A740-Home-AV-HDMI-Built-In-WiFi-4K-Home-Theater-Receiver/192890718571?epid=1229508219&hash=item2ce92ec96b:g:lCYAAOSwUSRctPgY&LH_ItemCondition=3000

If you aren't familiar with using eBay, be aware that they have good buyer protection. Anyone that says an item is 'USED' can't also say 'AS-IS'. eBay defines 'used' as FULLY FUNCTIONAL, so you are protected if you go with any item which is listed as used. Avoid 'Parts Only' listings.

I mean, I don't even have a clue what I am going to do with my Yamaha RX-Z1 which I purchased 15+ years ago. No HDMI, but amazing amplifier and multi-zone control.
