H Help Wanted Guest Jun 8, 2004 #1 I'm a beginner. Just purchased a Velodyne CHT-12 Subwoofer and a pair of Infinity Alpha 20 bookcase speakers for L and R front. Will have stereo setup to start and over time may go to surround sound. Which receiver would you recommend within the $300-$430 range? I'm looking at the Onkyo TX-SR701 (Refurb at eCost.com) for $430 and the Kenwood VR7080 at Electronics Expo for $317.77. I'm open to others though. Please tell me what you think. And thanks a bunch!

U Unregistered Guest Jun 9, 2004 #3 Thanks! After reading your post, I looked on the web this morning, decided on the HK 3480 stereo receiver and purchased it new through B&D for $290 (Shipping included).
