Additional Digital Cable Boxes

I currently have digital cable service in one room in my house. I would like to add additional cable boxes in other rooms but would like to do so without messing with my cable bill.

If I bought a box from eBay, what do I need to do to access my cable service from another room? Does it need to be reprogramed? Do I need to purchase a new card from somewhere online?

My cable bill is high enough as it is and I am done allowing the cable company to bend me over.

HELP! Thanks ...

You can't do it without renting additional boxes from the cable company. The cable company WILL NOT authorize a box they don't supply. Have you ever noticed that most of the time when cable fees go up they raise the 'rental' price for a box?

Now if you want to send the same signal from the one box to multiple rooms, that can be done but is not what you are asking.
