adding bass shaker to left channel only on behringer ep2500?

I currently use the behringer ep2500 to power a diy sub which has a single JL audio 13W1V2-4. I am interested in adding at least 1 or 2 bass shakers to my couch.

Would there be any issues if i run the sub off of the right channel and the 1 or 2 bass shakers off of the left channel?

I am using the sub out from my onkyo nr 709 which feeds the dcx2496 and from there to the behringer ep2500.

Bass shakers need amplification, sub pre-outs are un-amplified. They typically only need about 50 watts, so I'd advise buying a Buttkicker amp or similar and have that fed from the DCX2496.

I am aware that the need amplification, the sub pre outs go to the dcx2496 and from there to a behringer ep2500.

My question is, is it ok to run my sub off of the left channel and the bass shakers off of the right channel, the amp i am asking if this is ok for is the behringer ep2500.

That's a tricky one. I think you would have to reduce the gain on the right channel significantly to avoid overloading the bass shakers.

that should be fine the ep2500 has a gain for each channel. To limit the power i was thinking of using two shakers in series to bring it up to 8 ohms, would this be ok for the amp if one channel is at 8 ohms and the other is 4 ohms which is the sub?

I believe it would be, but don't quote me on that.

I've heard it said of car audio amplifiers that it's bad to leave channels unused or unevenly loaded, but I don't know why that would be the case.
