ACI Maestro a good choice?

I am contemplating instead of buying a new SVS PB12-Plus buying a used ACI Maestro for around 800 bucks. Is the Maestro a good sub and should i go with it instead of the SVS sub? The Maestro comes with the new Ice amp.

I have heard good things about their subs, so I would say it isn't a bad choice. Having never heard one I couldn't compare it to a Plus, but I would say you can't go wrong with either of them.

Craig scored it highly, especially for music. I'd think the SVS would have more output and the new rev should have better SQ. IDK, I'd be tempted to give ACI a try just for it's music capability.

How can you compare the Plus to Maestro..., not in the same price range, but I would agree with the latest statement, I have read a few people had them, and stated they were a very clean sub.. but no slouch either... Maximum output at 20 Hz: 107.8 dB < 10% THD But the New upcoming Plus lineup with likely have amazing SQ, if not better then the Maestro.

This is old, but I found this http://www.audioc.com/speakers1/maestro/reviews/craigchase.htm

I have owned the PB12-Plus, and it had plenty of output for movies, but I would state that I wasn't thrilled with the SQ, but I have to also state my tastes have grown towards craving tighter, cleaner bass. The PB12-Plus was replaced with a Fathom F112
I must also disclose I have 2 - SVS PB12 Plus/2' and a SB12-Plus in my house.

I think the Maestro for $800.00 is a pretty good deal, and might offer better SQ then this version of the PB12-Plus, but I doubt it will sound better then the upcoming preorder Plus...

Are you looking to upgrade your subwoofer?
What is your room size, related equipment list, budget for a sub?

Are you looking for Sealed or Ported ---- % of Music/HT
