Ace, Ace, Baby!!

I DID IT!!!!!!!!


FINALLY....


I've been playing golf for nearly 20 years and I FINALLY scored my first hole in one (ACE) last Sunday

So very lucky indeed!!

The hole was playing 162yds and I used an 8-iron. The hole was cut in a low area so we (unfortunately) never saw the ball drop in the cup from the tee. That was a bit of a disappointment to me on some level, but it was still pretty darned exciting no matter how you slice/dice it!!!

WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I DID IT!! I saved the ball and will mount it in a very special room. LOL

I plan to contact a local trophy shop to create a very special plaque to mount this very special golf ball in a very specially designed room........that just so happens to be decorated in a very special golf theme.

(think lower level toilet room...just off the HT room)

...but that is the beauty of golf!!

Aces do not discriminate!! Granted, better golfers have a better chance to knock one(or more) in the jar because they can hit it closer to the pin with more regularity, but anyone is capable of an Ace!! I've heard many stories of beginners, kids, grandmothers..etc, etc,...scoring aces.


.......... then lifelong golfers who play well....never getting one in their lifetime!!

The generally accepted odds are 10,000 to 1 for an amateure to score an ACE. Although unlikely, it can happen to anyone!!

For me... it happened last Sunday!!

PS...a funny sidenote. One of the guys in my group is an older gentleman and still plays to a scratch HC. After I holed out, aces were the topic of discussion for a few holes. ....it was then that I learned that he had 6 aces!!

Woah... it takes luck to score an ace, but......skill never hurts!!

LOL.... the ace didn't even cost me a single drink. I offered to buy a round for the guys in my 4-some, but nobody was planning on hanging around after the round.

That would be cool, but I couldn't find much.

The best I could get is a "ACE" themed pewter bag tag from Titleist. I should have it in only 6-8 weeks. LOL

Whenever I get around to it, I'm having a plaque made to mount the ball in my golf bathroom. Luckily, it was a moderately decent ball. (Titleist NXT-Tour)

With my luck, the ace could have happened while playing some crappy water ball or something...LOL
