Can you direct me to a better sub? Is the HSU VTF-1 a better option even though it is only rated at 200W compared to 650W on the Jamo? Thanks.
I think the Jamo would be more powerful than the VTF1 but not as powerful as the VTF2. Don't pay attention to wattage, that doesn't mean much without a bunch of other information. It can matter but only within context, and Jamo does not provide that context.

That would be a subjective answer. Klipsch does target a certain audience. Most people,
will either love or hate them - and it seems that there is, no middle ground with them.
I think this is mostly nonsense and exaggerations. Klipsch doesn't sound that radically different than most other hifi speakers, with the exception of their heritage line. I think "most people" wouldn't even know the difference, in fact most people probably enjoy Klipsch quite a bit without even knowing it, seeing how much Klipsch is used in commercial movie theaters. I think if you did a double blind test between some non-heritage line of Klipsch against comparable lines of speakers from other popular speaker manufacturers, it wouldn't be as easy to spot the Klipsch as so many seem to believe.

I have owned Klipsch speakers - what speakers are comparable to Klipsch?

Excuse my limited knowledge, but could you please explain in layman terms what the "horn loaded tweeters" mean for me? Thanks.
Have a friend say something to you from across the room, now have that friend cup their hands around their mouth megaphone style and say something. The second could be described as "a horn loaded mouth". ;)

The advantage is that horn loaded speakers are easy to drive loud however some (but not all) of us hear a slight megaphone like harshness to the sound. Again not everyone hears it but I do at least in the majority of the horns that I've heard.

Thats why I recommend the Aperion option. ;)

From what I read, Klipsch bought Jamo, and Audiovox bought Klipsch.
I think klipsch bought energy and mirage too? I didnt know a company owned klipsch...

Is there a ton of speakers that are better then klipsch?

Unfortunately yes. Klipsch bought out Energy and Mirage and Klipsh will ruin those two companies and their products as far as I'm concerned. :(

Every one has to find out what they prefer, and what is best for them.
They are not for me, with their aggressive horn nature. They do throw
a good central sound stage and can be interesting for home theater.
They sell a lot of speakers.
