Those are some nice looking speakers and nice drivers. I definitely wouldn't mind trying a pair out and hopefully getting some talk going on these! :)

I believe he's saying that the XTZ product is good and uses great drivers, but there isn't much out there in the way of dedicated/3rd party reviews & measurements and that would likely help the sales for XTZ
And I believe you missed the joke buddy

Bummer... my even more dry humored reiteration of that joke was missed :)

No but seriously, these look really nice! I've never seen this company and I've heard this tweeter in a car setup and it was fantastic. Known plenty of people to use that Seas W18 too and love it. The 99.36MKII is just a bit out of my range right now. None on Audiogon. Maybe soon!

Yea, I was just clowning around. I knew what he meant. ;)

XTZ opted to shy away from reviews, at least in part due to me suggesting they do so. After I did my review it became apparent they weren't ready for any additional exposure, because they simply didn't have their distribution infrastructure in place. In the year since they've been in NA the issues have set them back further, but hopefully all that's behind them. I may broach the topic with them again, seeing as how they may have finally gotten over the hump.

I'm kind of interested in the W12.18 ICE subwoofer. Looks like it might be a great performer.

Let me see if I can get a hold of one. XTZ keeps asking me if I want to do more reviews, and thus far I've declined because I had so many other subs lined up. I've also been curious about that particular unit for a while now, so perhaps it's time I looked into it.

Yeah I'd be interested to know how they're doing today, if they have US production ready to go, etc. I think the 99.36 MKII look like an incredible buy. Beautiful drivers and more costly for the price of the speaker than most I've seen. I'm assuming they're $800/ea., which is pretty good! Wouldn't mind picking up a demo pair after you or someone demo'd them...assuming they review/sound as good as they look.

I thought that too, but they are $800/pair!

Um....

Are you messing with me?! $800 a pair for Fountek Ribbons, Seas w18's & whatever midwoofer they use?

WOOOOOW:eek::eek::eek:

How is this not the best buy BY FAAAAR? I mean that's nuts! I've heard it's very close to the tweet in the Monitor Platinum/Gold line. Okay, there has to be a catch lol

Hi all!

Ok! I ordered 99.36 and a Room Analyzer yesterday. I feel a bit like a guinea pig. :)
Going to write a quick review when I get them. Hopefully they arrive before Friday because I'm going on vacation after the weekend.

If TLS Guy seems impressed so far, we definitely need an Audioholics review soon.

It seems like they are offering for reviews, right?

Great drivers is a great start for sure, but we all know it is the integration of the high quality drivers, crossovers, and cabinets that matters in the end.

I would be interested in the Devine flagship, except in a monitor form, instead of tower. :D

These speakers have my interest. :D

I was the guinea pig a year ago. At this point you're just a customer... :p

Definitely interested in your opinion though. I would love to hear what someone else has to say about the XTZ products.

I can get just about anything I want -- AAMOF, just this morning I got a commitment for a W12.18 ICE and a set of the 93.21's, so before the end of the year I should have a review on those -- but they were reluctant to go too much further until they had some of their issues resolved. I think they're in a better place now, even though the new distribution deal hasn't been finalized, so they may be amenable.

What did you have in mind, something for Gene to test? I can certainly broach the topic and see how they feel about it.

Wonderful! I wish you were located in OKC lol. Myself (and AcuDef) would love to hear them. I was looking at the EMP e55ti's before as a budget setup, but these have drivers that are far ahead of those. Hopefully we get to hear your opinions soon! How long you going on vaca?

...I'm impatient lol :D:D

Mine too! I say you order the 99.36's, have a listen & I'll buy them from you after you're done reviewing lol. I would find it pretty hard to mess up a speaker that uses the same tweeter (VERY close actually) as the Philharmonic & Monitor Audio Gold/Platinum lines, the Seas Excel w18 which is used in MUUCH more expensive speakers, and the Seas Prestige woofer. Hell of a lineup.

Looks like the Piano Black cabinets are rectangular (think KEF q, etc), while their other's (matte black, matte white, walnut) are curved. Piano Black has 25mm thickness and curved cabinets have 19mm thickness. There are pics of internal bracing online also.

Thanks for being the guinea pig. You might have a PM shortly to discuss the speakers, unless you'd like to discuss them openly here. I'm very interested in their 99.36's & 99.26's. Wish they had a large center, but I hear it matches perfectly so no harm no foul. Easier to fit I guess

The new mkII crossovers for the 99.26 & 99.36 are online. I don't know too too much about crossover parts, what's a quality part and what's not, etc...so maybe I'll post them up and we can discuss that.

It looks like the Fountek neo3 to Seas w18 is a 12db & the Seas w18 to Seas Prestige is a 24db.

Either way is fine by me.

Only the best of the best, of course - the Devine flagship.

Revel wants the world to know their Salon2, KEF wants to show off their 207/2, B&W shows off their 800D2, so XZT needs to show off their Devine flagship. :D

I absolutely love the looks and potential of the Devine, but they are too big for me with everything I have. If XZT is more successful, hopefully they can expand the Devine line to include a flagship Devine monitor. :D

Yes, I would love to audition the Devine 100.33 bookshelf speakers. I also think these are "small" enough to easily ship to Gene for review. :D

They should sound every bit as good as the Devine tower version minus the bass. :D
