A/V Receiver placement

<font color='#000000'>I just purchased a Denon AVR-2803 and the manual says to place it as far away from the TV as possible. Does that mean I shouldn't put it under the TV in the TV stand. &nbsp;Most people I know keep theirs in that spot. &nbsp;I know...this is probably a stupid question. &nbsp;Any help with this one. Please</font>

<font color='#000000'>I would just be sure that the vents on the receiver have an adequate area for air to circulate. I would think that as long as the tv is not setting on the receiver, it would be fine. &nbsp;
