A Look Back to Hi-Fi in 1962

If you like old photos, I have a roll from around 1954. This is long before I joined the company. My boss was one of the first in London, Canada, to open a full service TV and radio store. They must have been fairly successful to support 5 service vehicles.

The right side was an old add-on to the building and he operated out of both units (the family owned the building).

The right side had more display space but had a separate entrance. Looks like a tube tester on the left wall. That little room in the back is where I stared my career but they were no longer a TV store then and moved into finance.

They also carried a lot of radios. This was in the front window.

LOL in 62 I was not quite yet into hifi at 6 years old let alone any stores selling such. I did punch one of my dad's diy speakers in '60, tho.....turned his new fangled stereo system into mono.....
