Well, I just finished building a new equipment rack and set up my Sanyo PLV-Z4 projector. I'm awaiting the arrival of my actual screen, but for giggles, I just shot the projector onto the wall. My screen wall is a hunter green sandwash (rough texture, really eats up light, but uniform). It has no sheen, which makes it good for light rejection.
So anyway, I put the image up there and it actually looked good! How can a flat green wall make an image look good?
Well, for dimmer scenes with white in them, it had the Matrix green push, and the light output was somewhat muted. But for bright scenes, it didn't look bad. Watched Pirates of the Carribean on ABC HD last night and was impressed.
If it looks that good on a 0.2 gain green screen, I can't wait for my 1.8 Gain greywolf II to come!
