I'm almost finished. Issues: there is still no closet door hiding the electical panel, and I still feel that I am seated a little to close to the tv and the rear surround speakers (but, it's not a big room). I also feel that the front speakers are spread out a little too much, thus I have a fairly extreme toe-in. I really can't move the equipment rack because there are two dedicated 15 amp circuits for the system and I definately do not want to use extension cords and my speaker cables are 10 foot lengths. Most of my cabling (except the speaker cable) was purchased from the local surplus store that sells really good quality Chinese made cables at ridiculously low prices. The presence channel speakers are actually 2-way auto speakers and they do a great job.

I have always liked KEF, although I have never owned any. How long have you had them and what made you decide to purchase them?

My only suggestion would be to move the speakers a little further from the wall, if possible, along with the couch, even if it is a foot. It will make a difference.

The mains do not have subwoofers, but they do have a classic KEF woofer mounting called "coupled cavity". The woofers are mounted inside the unit and fire down into the base of the cavity of the speaker.

I've owned the KEF C95's since 1990. I fell in love with their sound the first time I listened to them in the store and I can't see myself ever parting with them. They were the first generation of Uni-Q speakers by KEF.

I'm going to give your suggestion a try and move the rear speakers and couch further out from the wall. My only concern will be that I'm sitting even closer to the tv.
