I have a set of 9 Western Digital WD1001FALS 1 TB hard drives for sale. These are from the WD Black line, which is the performance-oriented line from WD. They are currently formatted to ext3, and I currently have about 300+ Blu-Ray discs backed on to them. Since I've only been using these to back up movies, they have been used very, very lightly. On average they've been powered up about 40 times, for a total up time of around 125 hours each. This can be verified using S.M.A.R.T. monitor tools. I regularly sustain ~80 MB/s on and off of these. Compared to the WD Green drives and most other drives you see in a 2TB capacity, these are faster, higher performance drives.
I think the 2200+ reviews at NewEgg say far more about them than I can about their reliability and performance. I am asking $600.
(Note that I will be on business travel Thur-Fri of this week and may not have access to this board or PM's until Friday night. Responses/offers will be dealt with in order of receipt.)
