I have an Onkyo NR5008 that is capable of 9.1 and am thinking about adding at least front high speakers since I really do not have room for the front wides. I have some speakers that would fit in the upper corners of my living room but before I go running speaker wire and drilling holes in the wall I am hoping for some more feedback from those who have heard how front high speakers sound. Can some of you who have heard front high speakers comment on what they have added to your listening experience?
Here is an example of what the height speakers do...
During Transformers 2 the last 20 minutes when his parents are dumped out of the truck and the spinning decepticon flies over the building to meet him and fox. As the decepticon swings his chain around it travels front, middle, back, high, front middle. The sound follows the chain and is AMAZING. Also any helicopter scene, the helicopter are always above you. Forrest Gump is a good example.
