720p with a low throw ratio ?

I'm looking for a 720p projector with a really low throw ratio (distance/width) to use it at a distance of 5m from the screen. Most vendors focus on native resolution, brightness, contrast and picture quality but it seems hard to find a machine with a good zoom lens.

What size screen are you looking to get from that distance? From 14 feet lens to screen there are dozens of projectors that can give you a 120" diagonal image - which is pretty darn big for that distance.

Why do you want such a large screen? Where will you be sitting? Have you looked under "Find Projectors" at Projector Central?

I think the Panasonic PT-AE900U does very at short distances. You didn't mention your screen size. With the AX100 out now ( I am reviewing it this very week) you're certain to get a good price. See if VisualApex has any left in stock.
