Imo pro gear has its place and works well, but ill still take my "alledgedly" priced Mac gear any day. Imo spending less on the gear because you can doesnt allways make right. Can i get great proformance out of an off brand mt bike, yes but i still love my over priced klein.
I used to use all Mac amplifiers. The ONLY thing they added was price and fancy cosmetics to my system. No added performance whatsoever. Not even a tiny bit, not when compared to high quality pro audio amplifiers like the Yamaha units I recommended. These are extremely well made devices with superb SNR, flat response, very low distortion and high output power.

Those Yammys look pretty sweet actually. I prefer the unusual look rather than the expected look.

I also prefer Pro amps. Though I have found that they usually tend to have louder fans, and should be racked, or in another room/closet.
If it's needed, I just turn up the movie/music louder, and drown them out.

Yamaha's are great. Crowns are kinda average.

The $8 fan mod on the Behringer EP2500 makes it very quite. I can barely hear it with my ear right up to the front of the amp.
