How y'all doing I have been watching a ton of videos reading and need some advice/input. Am currently building a HT system for my home I bought in May of 19 to start the room is 25ft deep by 20ft wide front and reducing on an angle to 15ft wide on rear wall due to stairs with the rear left open to a second floor loft and 20ft ceilings. I have a A9G Sony 77inch Oled TV with AQ HDMI Cinnamon cables hooking my Cox cable box(they got the right name for that company)and my X box one S to the Denon. PS4, Laptop and Switch using Monster HDMI to my Denon. With another cinnamon hooking the Denon to the TV, right now i have a Paramax 5300 for protection and power cleaning. The Denon is currently pushing SVS Prime Pinnacles(wife wouldn't allow me to rip out two bookshelf flanking the wall mounted TV so after talking/emailing pictures to ED at SVS he said Pinnacles would be better the the ultra's, claiming the side firing woofer would be to close to the shelf's and opposite wall.)SVS ultra center, ultra surrounds(for surround sides) and a PC-4000 giving me a 5.1 system. I have BJC 12AWG matching length for all speakers and an SVS sub cable.

Side note SVS is an awesome company to deal with I have spent hours on the phone with ED both Scott's and Ryan every time I call they are more that happy to talk how ever long it takes. call with two or three simple questions and 30 mins and 20 question later they are more then pleased to share information and experiences. You can tell they have a passion and love their jobs.

Upgrades forthcoming:
3 dedicated 20 amp outlets (when complete the subs will both be on separate 15amp breakers and the Amp and Denon will each have a dedicated 20amp breakers, leaving 1 extra for future upgrades *insert Tim Tool Man Taylor GRUNT*)
A second SVS PC-4000 (BASSOHLIC) Gene highly recommend Dual so am listening to the professional (wife not pleased)
SVS ultra surrounds for rear surround
6 SVS prime elevated for my Atmos
ATI AT527NC to power my LRC and surrounds leaving the Denon to push the Heights

Questions:
Brickwall 20amp surge protectors for the Denon and ATI?
Panamax MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP to protect the 2 PC-4000?
Room acoustics? DO I need them also how will i know if i do?
What do i do with the extra speaker wire some of my speakers are closer to the amp and receiver then others ?
What else am i missing?

Room: 25FT deep x 20FT wide front 15FT rear wall x 20FT tall
A/V rec. Denon 8500 air cooled by Aircom T10 (Drive 6 Atmos)
ATI AT527NC (7 channel 200 watts@ 8 ohms all channels driven, LRC S/R surrounds)
L/R SVS Prime Pinnacles
SVS Ultra center
S/R SVS Ultra surrounds
Atmos 6 SVS Prime Elevations
Dual SVS PC-4000 (maybe more????)

Thanks for y'all help and input,
Pookie

I think most rooms don't need acoustic panels as long as the rooms have the usual carpets/rugs, sofas, pillows.

If you have hard floors, then definitely get a big thick rug or carpet.

Then get yourself the $92 UMIK-1 microphone from Amazon and do some REW measurements on your laptop or desktop, which is a lot easier than most people think.

Then you can see if your speakers' FR is linear enough in your room. If your speakers' In-room FR's are bad (worse than +/-3dB) on REW measurements, then you might need some acoustic help. But if the FR looks good, then you are all set. :D

Thank you
only use the audyssey mic with audyssey. Special calibrations. ;)

I like the audyssey app, have found it useful and fun to play with. Phone screen is a little small... a good tablet would be easier to use I think.

REW is the program... Room EQ Wizard. Freeware. Use the umik in conjunction with that. :)

Cheers!

At this point in the game, might as well pay the $20. haha. :D

No, you have to use the Audyssey mic only for Audyssey and the UMIK-1 mic only for REW.

REW is RoomEQ Wizard. It's a good one, many of us use it. No, you use the Audyssey mic for Audyssey, but get the app for flexibility.

There a particular need for so much surge protection that you don't simply install whole home surge protection? You have "dirty" power that needs "cleaning"?

Can't imagine spending that much on the avr/amp then only use speakers like the Pinnacles, tho. Why are you buying silly wires like Audioquest or Monster?

Got the app thanks for the About about the mic and software.
Far as surge protection honestly I don’t know any better. Why am here. Far as the cables kind of the same I guess.

I called the power company they don’t do them. I can’t find but one from Home Depot that goes between the meter and the pan. If you know of a good one please let me know so I can get it.

Far as the speakers that I have a plan for... we are adding on a man cave/she shed next summer so my thinking is baby look we can buy another AVR to hook up in there to the TV. Have to say this wife is as much as an LSU/Saints/ Marvel fan as me so with the pool table bar game room move those in there then buy an upgrade to the LRC. Cynical laugh
