7.1 speaker spacing

Should i have to worry about the left surround and left rear suround being too close and what is actually too close. i am working with a bit of limited space.

IMO, you're better off to setup 5.1 properly than 7.1 wrong.

I know I have a strange setup, but it works for me. I also have very limited space.

You don't want surrounds close to you or each other if you can help it. The idea is to create a surround sound field. So you don't hear the point source.

Thanks all, i appreciate the input. Walter how does your set up sound? if you move your surrounds up to the edge of your sofa and over about 2ft then thats the space i have also the surround backs have a 2-3ft space not right behind like you have so i do have some space compared to yours but if its not canceling out then its cool right? how do i put pics on here.

To me it sounds great. If you have 3 feet behind you that would be even better. The towers you see in the picture are actually mirrow image designed rear towers. They fire up-in and out with side firing woofers. But in this place I had to set it up like this and it works fine. As long as your system is calibrated you should have no problem.
