Howdy folks.....not sure if this was asked a zillion times already and if it was I apologize. I haven't got any good hits on this yet.

Are there any good 7.1 encoded Bluray flicks (TrueHD or DTS-MA) with good bass out there worth checking out? I saw a listing of 7.1 encoded flicks on Bluray site, but they referred to region B....and I wasn't sure if it will work in the US under region 1? I wanted to give my 9.2 setup a good workout and wanted to see what my options were....

Appreciate any input..... Thanks!

There are plenty of Lionsgate films in 7.1, I know some of the Saw movies have good bass in them. But any movie can be 7.1 if you apply PLIIx to it.

Use bluray stats page, go to audio filter, select 7.1, and there you go:
http://www.blu-raystats.com/Stats/Stats.php

From there, your guess is good as mine as to which titles will have the best bass. But it will help narrow the field down quickly.

Most 7.1 lossless tracks that I see are in DTS-MA. Yeah, you'll see mostly Lionsgate and a fair amount of Paramount.

I read the review of Kick @ss and it is supposed to have a decent 7.1 track.

I just watched that a couple of nights ago for the first time. It was pretty fun! I also watched Mary and Max last night thanks to your rec, and I quite enjoyed it. A very different film.
