6 channel amp vs multiple 2 channel amps

I am using a denon 3802 as a pre amp and want to add amps to preout for more power in both home theater and home audio settings. Is there any difference between using a 6 channel amp vs using 3 separate 2channel amps. which if any would sound better.

the 2 choices are Aragon 2005 5or 6 channel amp at 200 watts per channel or 3 of the B&K reference 2 channel amps 200.2 also at 200 watts per channel

Why not get a good 2-channel amp for the front two speakers and a 5-channel amp for the center, side and rears. This will get you to 7.1 (if or when you want to).

This is how my current system is set-up since most of my music listening is done in 2-channel, yet switching over to watch a movie is a snap.
