50" Samsung DLP Bulb to LED?

I have purchased a 50" Samsung DLP about a year ago and love it. The question I have is has anyone modded or replaced the bulb that currently resides in them with the new LED bulbs that are now currently available on their DLP lineup. I wasn't sure if there is a converter or a straight bulb to LED replacement. Anyone have any experience with this?

There is no way to replace a standard DLP bulb with an LED. The LED sets have a completely different optical engine without a color wheel. Instead they use three LED lights, red ,green, and blue. It would theoretically be possible to make a white LED lamp for use in TV's that currently have standard mercury bulbs but I don't see that becoming a reality.
