50' audio connection; what should I use?

I recently purchased a 42" plasma for my office. I will be running 50' connection to it from a DVD. what typre of connnection should I use. I have a 50' S-video. should I be upgrading to Component. Thanks for the help and input

I will be strictly running videos from the DVD to the Plasma.

I would use the component at the least. Does your DVD player have DVI? If it does that would be the way to go.
