5 yr old Denon vs. New Yamaha

I know you guys have some advice for me. I have an opportunity to buy a like new AVR3300 for $300, but was looking at a new Yamaha RX-V657. (Actually a Yamaha HTR-5860. I spent a lot of time with Yamaha tech support and the 5860 is essentially the 657 minus the zone 2 capability and a few customization features.) They both have decoding options and the power rating I'm looking for. Has sorround processing improved in those 5 years? Is the auto set-up on the Yamaha worth it. One caveat, I still listen to a lot of 2 channel music.

I appreciate your advice, Thanks!

Htr-5860

I have the HTR-5860 and would recommend it. You should be able to find if from an authorized dealer for about $350. I also saw some refurbished RX-V1500's on ubid for $400.

Denon sucks Can't get any help from them or repair unless you live in New Jersey.
