I would say it is a good option, but you might not be so pleased because speakers can be a very personal thing. I would recommend buying 2 of them and auditioning them before ordering the rest. This way if you don't like the speakers you aren't out as much as if you had ordered all 5 and wanted to ship them back.

i'm currently looking at purchasing 5 x-cs Center/Main/Surround Loudspeaker for my HT room, it's a fairly large room and my receiver is the Yamaha V661, i will be also running 2 powered 12" subs

is this a good option for under 1000$?

total cost of 862$ US, including shipping to Canada

Please take the size of the X-CS into consideration too, they are very deep speakers.

 Even B stock, you wouldn't want to mess w/ those veneers (or Satin Black)

My "B stock" Xls (slight veneer cracking) blow away any other speakers "A" finish I've seen in person(well, in recent memory)

yep, I did still waiting for a reply, but another guy from AV123 actually PMed me on his own and helped me out alot

i'm pretty much set on these speakers, from all the opinions of people using similar and even lesser receivers than mine, people love these speakers, so i'm pretty much sold on them

i really think alot of the people on the avs forum just cant get what i'm asking for, they only can recomend high end components, while the best audio setup i've ever had before this one is a 500$ package from best buy lol

but once again guys, thanks alot, i'll posts vids + pics once our setup is complete

oh..and my projector came today [HD70] haha i hooked it up to my computer and was playing Battlefield:2142 and watched a Band of Brothers episode on it, I was very impressed on the out of the box performance, cant wait to took up the Digital Cable and blu ray :D :D

Who would you listen to then?

While I agree there is a lot of "noise" over there (which is why I just read rather than post), there is generally good information and some very knowledgeabel people.

After posting here, or on any forum for a few years. You get to know who is who, and who's opinion, and recommendations you can value, and who's you can't.

I agree. But that is different than saying:
"And I wouldn't listen to half of the BullSh!t your being told on AVS about the x-cs's."
