Thank you for all the feedbacks. They are very helpful. It's been a tough decision. In the end, I finally pulled the trigger on the Klipsch HD 1000 for the following reasons:
- High hope that the sound quality would meet our needs
- More appropriate for the space that we have and situation
- Wife's approval
- $799 with free Sony Receiver STR-DH800 from OneCall if any is interested. Shipping is free.

Agree, buying a 5.1 Ht system would be a waste of money.. My friend has a sony bravia 5.1 home theatre system.. With analog, it sounded terrible and with dobly it was alright..i wasnt impressed.. So buying individual bookshelf speakers would be a great idea.. By the way, my friend payed almost $400 for that bravia system.. lol
