5.1 Surround System $1000 budget

With Pioneer L/R/C, Denon receiver out of the way,
I wanted to take your opinion reg in ceiling speaker option (wife's preference) for rear L/R surround sound.

I would skip the Polk, and go with Snell

Hey there fellow newbie! I was in a similar boat as you last month. I actually bought a complete system from ABT electronics where they let me try it for 30 days with an option of a full refund. Then....and let me say this Thank God I did...I got advice from these experts.

Everyone here gives great honest opinions. In particular for my situation First Reflection and ImCloud guided me.

Since I'm a newbie I can't really guide you on many products/brands as my experience is limited, but just wanted to say you can definitly trust their advice and the websites they tell you to use are gold. I returned 80% of my initial purchase and went to the accessories4less and bought a refurbished receiver and the thing looks brand new.

Anyways best of luck and you can't go wrong with the advice here!
