Hello Everyone,
I bought a home recently and am looking to setup a Home Theater system in my basement. I have been reading the forum messages for a while and have come up with options that seems to fit my needs. If you can help me drill down even further that would be really helpful.
I am planning to install HT system in a room of size 14 ft X 19 ft with 8 ft ceilings which comes down to ~2200 cu.ft. Looking to buy speakers, sub and receiver for less than $1750 (At the max $2000). I will use the HT for 80 % movies and 20 % music (soft music)
Based on what i read the options i came up with are,
1. Ascend -- CMT-340 SE (LCR), CBM-170 (Surround), VTF-2 MK4 (Sub)
2. HSU Research -- VTF-2 MK4 (Sub), HB-1 MK2 (LR, Surround), HC-1 MK2 (Center)
3. Chane Arx -- I did not find much information about it but based on limited info this seems to be a good set of speakers.
4. JBL -- JBL Studio 530 (LR, Surround), JBL Studio 520CBK (Center), VTF-2 MK4 (Sub)
Should i go with one of these options or am i missing anything?
Can you please provide your recommendations? I am in southeast and unfortunately i will not be able to audition any of these. So i have to buy the system solely based on your recommendations. Your inputs are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
