The original Tron and Tron: Legacy are coming out on 4K Disc next month!
Nice. Been waiting for TRON LEGACY 4K forever. Release date is Sep 16 - 4K ATMOS. So it's THIS month - only 2 weeks away.

Meanwhile Gunn’s Superman is releasing on 4K Disc faster than a speeding bullet Sep 23rd. :D

I happened to check the schedule the other day too. Also noted Cinderalla Man, Dante's Peak (again, we'lll see if it happens this time), End of Days and Red Planet.

I just saw that. I find it very odd there is no preorder when it releases in 2 weeks.

Yeah, I don't get why they would rush this release and have ZERO pre-orders anywhere. I could see if it was a coming first week of Oct., but to have a mid-Sept. release date and just drop the announcement now, just seems weird.

Guessing part of it was they wanted to have some stuff to drop at D23, their expo. Meaning it was already ready and the preorder would have meant people already knew about it. So preorders should go up tomorrow probably. The cover art shows Atmos for both.

Finally got my pre-orders for both Tron 4k's. Amazon finally put them out yesterday afternoon. This release strategy by Disney is absolutely horrible. I saw a 4k release style from Disney these last 6 months and the window for bigger movies in steelbooks are getting smaller and smaller. If we go back to Tombstone, they gave a 2 month pre-order window. That sold out. Then the next big release was a 1.5 month window and it continued to shrink by half a month and now we're down to barely a 1.5 week window. Supposedly, Disney wants to do this on purpose to amp up the release and claim it's widely popular when it sells out. Then they can also charge more because the demand is there. These 4k Steelbooks are $40/each. I believe the only way to get a non-steelbook is to purchase the international editions which are only $34. Can Disney just act normal for once? Can we bring back the Disney from 25-30 years ago, please. :)
