Hey guys,

As more and more movies come out in 4K quality and I watch everything on my 135" fixed screen in a dedicated home theater, I may be missing out just running everything in 1080p via KDLINKS Media player. So instead of downloading the 2k or 4k 40-50gb files, I opt for the usual 1080p.

One item to keep in mind ... I hate the soap opera effect you get, I guess at 30fps or is it 60? Either way ... I want a better picture but no soap opera feel. 4K still worth it for movies?

To upgrade, I guess I'd need to buy a 4k enabled receiver (currently own Denon 4311) and a better media player (KDLINKS A400 4K Android). So, all in all, about a $1,500-$2,000 upgrade.

I do 70% movies, 30% shows like BBC Earth, documentaries, sports, etc.

Thanks.

P.S. upgrade products would most likely be
