I am looking for a new T.V. between 40" - 47". I already have the Samsung PN50A650....and love it. Didn't know what people would suggest for a T.V. between those sizes. I an looking for a great picture.....doesnt really need to be 1080p..well maybe it does. But if there is one with a great picture that isn't 1080p I would love into it.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm a big advocate for the Panasonic S1 series plasmas (if you have a calibration disc). The G10s are also very nice; a bit more expensive but they do have a THX mode that works very well in dark (very dark) rooms.

Are you just collecting TVs?!?

My own rule of thumb when going between LCD and plasma is how much light is in the room. Plasma has gotten much better but I still keep mine in a light controlled room. Got LCD for the living room with all those windows.

The anti glare coating on modern plasmas all but eliminates that issue. I have my plasma in my living room with two 10'x10' windows and a sun room shining in and it has no issues even on the brightest of days.
