All discussions i have seen here is about new TV. My 4 year old Sharp LCD 32 inch had very good picture quality until yesterday. It is now grainy whether I use verizon, Dish or a video. I have not changed cables. it is past the warranty but I have definitely not used it for 20,000 hours, the normal life of LCD. Do I need to adjust anything or is it broken? if it is broken can I get it fixed and by whom? Is it worth the cost? Thanks for any advice.

"or a video" isn't very specific. Is this DVD, and if so, is it decent resolution?

How is the TV connected to the sources- through an AV receiver, or directly? Using HDMI, component video?

If you are using only one input connection and everything goes through the receiver, try connecting the TV directly to the cable box and DVD player to see if it clears up.

When video quality is bad, it's always a good idea to bypass anything between the source and display when troubleshooting.

my TV is directly connected to the cable box. the different color spots seem to be on the screen. there are two places on the screen where there are no spots.
