I have been doing the intensive "google search" for speakers stands but haven't really found much (Sanus, Bello, VTI, Wood Technology). Just wondering if anyone hear has any experince they might share in this area. I need stands that can support a 15 lb speak with a footprint of 8.5"x12" (PSB B25). At 36" or preferrable 42" that is sturdy (best if it is metal and sand fillable). And hopefully less than $110/pair. Any help appreciated.

I can help you with the height of the stand. Aim for one that would more closely place the tweeter at ear height when you listen to them. Have someone measure your ear to floor distance. 42" tweeter height seems to be about average. So, depending the height of the tweeter in the speaker, you can do the math for the stand height.

Great. Just make sure it is stable, won't fall over too easily by walking by.
