M mziegler Audioholic Oct 14, 2007 #29 Somehow I think $250k for Magicos is a better value than Bose. I see you have the D4...I spent some time listening to the D5--a very nice speaker. I still prefer my Sierra, but I really do like the D5; it would be VERY easy to live with it.

Oh, sorry, I don't have the D4s. That was more of an "first impressions" than a review.

C CaptainAudio Audioholic Intern Oct 14, 2007 #31 I may be stupid with my money from time to time but these are way out of my league. I liked the text "The aluminum skin of the 80 Hz midbass horn is reinforced by 56 machined aluminum ribs for stiffness and resonance control. It is hand-welded by skilled craftsmen and takes 4 month to complete." I say good thing it's done by a skilled craftsmen or the structure would look a little like a heating duct.... Oh wait! It still does look like a heating duct.

3db Audioholic Slumlord Oct 15, 2007 #32 Over priced garbage Took 5 home and crow barred them into by 10'x18' basement. Well, the left and right sound horrible and the center channel is completley blocking my 13" black and white TV. I have no room for the sofa anymore so I'm forced to stand to listen to them, acoustically a bad idea since they have very limited verticle dispersion. I want my Bose Acoustic Mess back. Least I could watch by 13"b&w TV ..

J JonBaker99 Audioholic Oct 15, 2007 #33 I was going to pick up a set for $250k ea but just my luck some guys in a white van showed up and had a spare set left over from a job. Managed to get them down to $2500 for the pair. They showed me a real magazine and had credible names and creditentials like Steve and Skeeter from Steve and Skeeters World Of Hifi for Lo Prices. I really need to marry the widow of a texas oil tycoon so that I can play with toys that cost more than I'll make in the next 5 years.
