Great day to be a Bears fan. Every game I keep saying this is it, but no they keep winning. I still keep believing they have little margin for error, but the funny thing is they ran all over Philly. Caleb doesn't strike me as 300 yds and 3 TD's. I dunno how Johnson does it. Just enjoy the moment.

A guy on YT did a video on comparing Christian Ponder and JJ McCarthy at similar points in their careers.

Ponder 56.3% 1423 yds 9 TD's 8 INTs
JJ 54.1% 929 yds 6 TDs 10 INTs

Also the 34 qbr rating vs GB. The laugher is he said just throwing the ball in the dirt on each play will get you a 39 qbr. Still higher.

Watched another video where the guy is going through each passing play vs GB and gives neg, med, pos ratings for each play. Turned out he gave JJ more positive plays based on pass protection and All 22 etc. I replied something like yeah but we only scored 6 points.

Edit: one more thing in the video above is he said the Vikes have the highest salary in the league this year, so not wanting to pay Darnold is a mystery to me.

Vikes better have an exit plan should it continue on this path. I mean were talking about the coaching staff, mgmt, etc blowing up. WR Jefferson if we're not careful might leave. We'd be right back at the drawing board. This could be worse than Ponder, but nothing can compete with the Herschel Walker trade for like 10 drafts or something crazy that built Dallas' dynasty LOL. I'm not sure there's an NFL trade in history that lopsided.

Crazy thing is that we went to the playoffs with Ponder. He didn't play in the playoff game. I recall he had a bicep injury or something. Joe Webb played and we lost to Greenbay. I hope Brosmer is the guy! I'd love to see a story like Brock Purdy, who was barely drafted. Brosmer was not! I heard a Minnesota Gopher QB has never started in the NFL. I wonder if that's a fact.

I just googled, or Duck Duck Go actually. Mike Hohensee was a Gopher QB and started for the Bears in '87 during the NFL player strike. That's the only one.

Pete Bercich is saying (not about that play) that he is making the correct reads, but is throwing too fast. He needs to settle down. So it's opposite what you would expect of a rookie QB.

Yes I agree with that. For the most part he is making the right reads.
