Yeah LT went downhill pretty fast, but all RBs go down after 30 even Smith faded late in his career. How did the line look?
The only down hill I saw with LT last night was him running down hill,at full speed, he looked fast, strong, and ready to win football games and I believe he will certainly bolster the Jets O this year, he could have one of his best seasons with the gigantic Jets O line in front, nice pick up by NY.

The Jets' starters did look much better than the Giants' starters last night. The Giants O reminded me of the Keystone Cops. And what was with Jacobs throwing Eli under the bus? I don't know who was at fault there, but you don't trow your QB under the bus like that.

The OL was pretty good. I definitley want McNeil back though as Dumbrowski is not the answer at LT. Matthews first run was straight up the gut for only about 3 yards, and I immediately thought, "Oh boy, here we go again. No running game because the OL still can't open up any holes." But they seemed to hit their stride a little bit after that.

I was pleasantly surprised with the DL as well. Most of our sacks came off of corner blitzes, but Cam Thomas did a good job of clogging the middle. He's not as fast as Jamal was in his prime, but he looked good. They pretty much shut down the Bears' running game. And this was without Merriman and English. The secondary got torched a bit though.

All in all things looked pretty positive.

What is the word on VJ? I might have to drop Rivers, if he doesn't get signed.

Unfortunately, I think VJ is done as a Bolt. He's being a punk and AJ won't back down and give him a big contract. AJ already sent letters to him and McNeil telling them that he will place them on the roster exempt list if they don't sign their tenders by Friday.

I don't always agree with AJ's tactics, but I'm with him on this one. VJ is being selfish and I don't think that you can look at his on the field production without also looking at his knucklehead behavior off the field. If VJ expects to sit out until the 10th game of the season and then come back to get his full season credit, I say "screw him". Either you're a Bolt or you're not.

That sucks...I missed out on drafting that combination last year and I was really looking to right that ship...to bad. Oh..well I still like Rivers...:)

Which team has the best running back tandem in the NFL?

I'm saying it's the Carolina Panthers, with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.

Having Jake Delhomme as your QB should help any RB's pad their stats, but the first duo which came to mind is Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. I just checked their stats and if Brown didn't miss half the season those number would'a being huge. So they'd get my vote.

I'll go with Ryan Matthews and Darren Sproles. I may be looking through homer-colored glasses though. :D

I hate the Cowboys, but they have a great complementary combo of Barber and Jones.

How about the tandem of Jacobs and Bradshaw....sure Jacobs had an off year and Bradshaw deals with chronic pains in his ankles but if they stay healhy they're are very capable of being a 2 headed monster.

Depends on if they use them right. Bradshaw should actually be the #1 back in that offense, with Jacobs coming in to change it up.
