Here's an updated picture of the living room with the measurements of the walls/ceiling etc.
By my calculation it's about 3600 cubic feet + it opens to a kitchen/dining room, so I am correct in choosing (on your recommendation) the RBH I-12e, yes?

With a 25' depth and a large opening to another room, you are going to want ported subwoofers, unquestionably.

Follow up question now that everything has arrived - do I still have to crawl for bass (these monsters are heavy!) even if I have two subs?

Sub crawl is one way to look for the best response with one sub, but with two subs, I would place them in the available spots you have, measure the response, and keep them in the spots where they have the overall best response. Sub crawl doesn't really work with two subs, but it can kind of get you started with placement of the first sub.
