2 Velodyne VX-11 Subs for $229?

The Velodyne website is advertising two (2) VX-11 subs for $229.00 with free shipping. Is this a good deal?

These are not great subs, but if your budget is $250, I couldn't imagining you doing better than a pair of these!

It looks like Velodyne screwed the pooch on this one.
I played with the shopping cart and the actual deal appears to be you pay $229 each, but you have to buy 2 subs. In other words it is $458 for two subs.
If you put 1 in the quantity field, it will reject the order.

$169 from Vanns is still the best price on these.

I gave Velodyne more credit than to pull that kind of trick.

I have the VX-10, looks like maybe this is the updated model for that one. I paid like $120 at Fry's years ago for it, so even 2 for $229 isn't a fantastic deal (on a sub par sub)

I've seen the VX-11's go on sale for $149 at times so the initial offering somewhat made sense. It is their entry level model, I believe.

I tried that as well. If you look at the bottom of the screen they show a $229 discount for a total of $229 for two. Plus free UPS ground shipping.
