Not sure about the SVS musically.

Click to expand... I'd still recommend splurging (or saving until you can) and get an SVS. The Velodyne subs in this price range just aren't very impressive, performance-wise.

The only thing that comes close is the Hsu VTF3, but that is if you want the extra features more than the sheer output. Velodyne and SVS don't compare as well. The EQ Max 15 actually has pretty good mid bass output, it just has really sad low bass output, whereas the opposite is true of the PB12, but at least with the PB12 you get a flat frequency response. One sub I am curious about in this price range is the Klipsch SW115.
